For the Love of Flight

As the first African-American pilots in the United States military, the Tuskegee Airmen are heroes of World War II and beyond. Their story of the fight to achieve a “double victory” against fascism overseas and racism at home remains an important lesson in how excellence can beat adversity.

In partnership with Lucasfilm, the Southern Museum of Flight is offering educational resources freely available to teachers, students, and the public so that these stories may help foster new discoveries for young and old alike.

For the month of February, the Southern Museum of Flight website will feature the film "Double Vision: The Tuskegee Airmen At War" and the “Double Victory Education Guide”.

These educational resources will be complemented by a free curriculum based virtual tour of SMF’s Tuskegee Airmen exhibition.
